Hi, I'm Kata — a hand embroidery artist born and raised in Hungary.
I inherited my love for embroidery and folk art from my mum and grandmother. From an early age, I was fascinated by vibrant colours, delicate patterns, and the magic of needle and thread — especially the art of needle painting.
I studied at teacher training college in Hungary, following my dream of working with children. But in 2013, life brought a new adventure: I moved to Bristol with my husband and our little boy, who was just one and a half at the time.
While working and raising a family, I completed a Level 4 Teaching Diploma — something I’m truly proud of.
But over time, I found myself being gently pulled back into the world of embroidery. Now, I combine my passion for teaching with the joy of stitching. Through my hand-embroidered creations and creative workshops, I hope to bring beauty, calm, and inspiration to both children and adults alike.
Hope to see you soon!
